Singing Recital and Wine and Cheese Night!
St Mary of the Angels in Bayswater, at 7pm (doors at 6.50pm)
Treat yourself to an evening of fine classical music where you will listen to the most beautiful arias ever written in the history of music, from Puccini to Donizzetti to Wolf performed by two extraordinary musicians: the Portuguese soprano Maggie Vaz Neto and the Italian pianist Antonio Morabito.
At the end of the evening there will be a refreshment with wine and cheese to crown the evening!

Past projects and performances
FRIDAY 7th FEBRUARY - Path to Tragedy
This was a concert that follows the narrative of a heroine that faces the trials and tribulations of life, but confronts the obstacles with courage and faith and comes out victorious. This is the debut of the Kalura Duo, a collaboration between Maggie and the internationally recognised pianist Antonio Morabito.

WEDNESDAY 15TH JANUARY - Dialogues: from Beckett to Berio
Voice and two violins navigate the complex emotion and intrapersonal relationships of Beckett’s seminal play Waiting for Godot.
The performers explore these relationships in real time through Berio’s violin duets and live improvisation, which weaves throughout the programme.




TUESDAY, 14th JANUARY 2025 - Colours of Femininity
Colours of Femininity is an interdisciplinary celebration of womanhood, discovered through music, dance and the spoken word. New music and poetry will be brought to life on stage, expressed through dance and lighting.




SUNDAY, 10th NOVEMBER 2024 - Brahms: Ein Deutsches Requiem – A German Requiem
In a performance conducted by Gavin Carr, Bournemouth Symphony Chorus and Magna Sinfonia join forces to perform Brahms’ largest choral work, the powerful Ein Deutsches Requiem – A German Requiem. Maggie performed as a soloist alongside Lawrence Gillians, in Lighthouse, in Poole, Bournemouth.


WEDNESDAY, 25th SEPTEMBER 2024 - The Acts of Brízida Vaz
“The Acts of Brízida Vaz”, a short opera by Margarida Gonçalves. Maggie premiered the main role in the piece inspired by the 16th-century Portuguese play “Auto da Barca do Inferno” (“Act of the Vessel from Hell”) in the Tête-à-tête Contemporary Opera Festival, in the Cockpit Theatre.

“Summer Concert”, the last in a series of concerts organised by The Musicians of London, with the presence of Raymond Holden.


THURSDAY, 25 APRIL - Carte Blanche & The persistence of memory: story-telling
Collaboration projects with the Composition Department of the Royal Academy of Music.
THURSDAY, 11 APRIL - Philharmonia Chorus: Bells, Choral Symphony
Choral performance of “Bells”, a choral symphony by S. Rachmaninoff. With the Philharmonia Chorus and the Philharmonia Orchestra, lead by Vasily Petrenko, in the Royal Albert Hall.
14, 15, 16 & 17 MARCH - Philharmonia Chorus: Live Projection of Lord of the Rings
Choral performance of “Lord of the Rings - Return of the King”, a soundtrack by H. Shore, with the Philharmonia Chorus.
WEDNESDAY, 17 JANUARY - Satyrs
Maggie created the role of Dion in an exciting premiere of this new opera, composed by Toby Andersen and libretto written by Sam Woof.







WEDNESDAY, 17 JANUARY - Words Unsaid
A collaborative project between students from the Royal Academy of Music, a professional dancer and the New Contemporalis Ensemble, in the Students Create Festival.

SUNDAY, 3 DECEMBER 2023 - NLCC: Christmas Concert
A come back for the New London Chamber Choir, the Christmas themed concert was a success!

WEDNESDAY, 4 OCTOBER 2023 - Tenderness
A mono-opera by Vitaliy Hubarenko exploring the longing for a loved one. Between memory and fantasy, the audience is invited to join this emotional journey with the sublime harmonies from the orchestra.

Choral performance of “Lord of the Rings - Two Towers”, a soundtrack by H. Shore, with the Philharmonia Chorus.
THURSDAY, 7 SEPTEMBER 2023 - Show Home
Maggie created the role of Kay in an exciting premiere of this new opera, composed by Will Harmer and libretto written by Jaisal Marmion. This was a second show of the work - previously premiered in the Royal Academy of Music - now in the Tête-à-tête Contemporary Opera Festival, in the Cockpit Theatre.
